Most suppliers are honest, but they naturally represent their own interests. As your independent representative, we work only for you. We check that the material, quality, dimensions and quantities match your order before you pay the balance and before the container leaves. Fixing a problem at the factory costs a fraction of fixing it on site.
We check colour and veining consistency against the approved sample, slab thickness and dimensions, finish quality (polished, honed, brushed), cracks, fissures, resin and repair work, flatness, edge quality, and correct numbering for book-matched slabs. Finally we supervise loading, packing and fastening in the container. You receive a detailed report with photos and videos. See our inspection services.
Ideally at the start, before you choose a quarry or a factory. We can help you select the right material and supplier, check the blocks before cutting, and inspect the finished product before shipment. We can also be hired for a single inspection.
Our specialty is Greek marble, where we have direct access to quarries and factories across the country. We also carry out inspections and consulting for material from Italy, Turkey and China.
You get a written report with photos and videos, usually within 24–48 hours of the inspection. If there are problems, we inform you immediately so they can be resolved with the supplier before the material is shipped.
The fee depends on the volume of material, the location of the factory and the scope of work (a single inspection or full project support). Contact us with the details of your project for a quote. In most cases the cost is a small fraction of the value of the material it protects.
